The charm of the neighborhood, with its picturesque streets offering glimpses of Sydney Harbour, made our morning strolls delightful-we often ended up at the nearby ferry terminal, which was so convenient for hopping over to Taronga Zoo! The lodge itself was a blend of comfort and value; our room was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I particularly appreciated the shared kitchen and lounge, where I could enjoy a quick cup of coffee while exchanging stories about coral reefs with my travel companions. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating, making us feel at home. And for anyone looking to squeeze some culture into their trip, highlights like the Opera House and the Royal Botanic Gardens were just a short train ride away, all easily manageable with the nearby public transport. My experience at Carnarvon Lodge was not just about staying in Sydney; it was about diving into its rich history and vibrant life. I can't wait to return!
